Features

desync cleans up directories that have been used for file syncronisation. These directories tend to accumulate cruft because the synchronisation application (such as rsync) uses simple criteria (such as name and timestamp) to identify the files that it manages.

desync attempts to detect and correct these causes of duplication:

Operation is interactive, reporting is thorough, and deletions may be undone at any time during the current run.

"Deleted" files are not actually lost; instead they are moved into a separate directory. All actions are recorded to a log file.
